In this calendar the user finds modelling related events which take place worldwide. She/he might synchronise a calendar with this calendar or download single events to import them into her/his diary.
Implementation:
The calendar is implemented as for example a google calendar.

News regarding the following topics are available for the user in this subsection.
- events of the openmod initiative
- important news about the open source models, presented on the platform
- interesting findings about open source data and open source modelling
- major changes of the platform
The latest news might also be presented on the main page and can be subscribed here. Any logged-in user can add news, but no advertising.
Implementation:
The news will be presented on the named sites and will feed into a RSS news feed.
