I've been following the openmod newsletter/google group for some months, and I am extremely interested in the activities of this community.
I have a background in Energy engineering, with a focus on energy systems modeling, optimization and "data science" in general.
I strongly believe in open science and open-source approaches more in general. I work mainly with Python and tools such as Pyomo, Numba, PostgreSQL and Git on a daily basis, which further increases my appreciation of open-source communities.
On the energy side of things, I have recently started having a look at projects as diverse as Calliope and Pvlib-python.
Currently, I work at Tesla, in the Energy Team.
