Intransparency of models is an issue that I am interested in helping to resolve. That's why I would like to understand better what open source modelling comprises, what open source models can do and what is needed to enable more transparency in the field of energy-economy-climate modelling. One specific interest is in the representation of industrial energy-related and process-related emissions in open energy models (especially those industries covered by the EU Emissions Trading System) and their ability to develop strategies/scenarios for decarbonizing industry.
