About me / Places I've livedEnergy Policy and Economics Consultant and PhD student at the department of Nuclear Science and Engineering supervised by Japan Steel Industry Professor and Associate Provost Richard Lester. His field of specialization is “Energy Economics and Policy” and his research focuses on developing advance methodologies, combining operations research, machine learning and data analysis, to generate timely insights to guide near-term policy, research, optimal investment and planning decisions that will impact long-term deep decarbonization of power systems. Originally from Chile, he is a former Naval Officer who served for more than 10 years at the Chilean Navy, serving aboard and working as project manager for defense procurement. He holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Polytechnic Academy (Chile), a MS in Nuclear Science and Engineering from MIT (USA) and a MS in Technology and Policy from MIT (USA).
