1. A pyranometer is a type of actinometer used for measuring solar irradiance on a planar surface and it is designed to measure the solar radiation flux density (W/m2) from the hemisphere above
2. Pyranometer is a scientific instrument that measures the solar insolation that falls on the earth’s surface.
It measures the global solar irradiance on a planar surface, measured in W/m2. Global Radiation = direct radiation + diffuse radiation
