His research focuses on the development of integrative tools for the simulation and optimisation of decentralised multi-energy systems. Andrew is the architect of the Holistic Urban Energy Simulation (HUES) platform (
https://hues.empa.ch). He holds a PhD in Energy Systems Resilience from Delft University of Technology (2015), a Master's degree in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University (2010) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Economics from Dartmouth College (2002).
