doi:value required
This is a simplified implementation of the doi template found on Wikipedia. It is useful for citing documents that have a DOI (digital object identifier). But it is strongly recommended that you use one of the proper cite templates instead: cite book, cite conference, and cite journal (listed below).
Usage:
Simply pass the DOI string:
{{doi|10.1000/12345678}}
doi:10.1000/12345678
The template issues an error if no parameter is given:
{{doi}}
doi:value required
